This technology has the largest dental AI FDA clearance and is conveniently built right into Dentrix Ascend Imaging so that it fits seamlessly into your imaging workflow.  In addition to providing real-time clinical decision support, Detect AI is an awesome visual aid that you can use to educate your patients, boost case acceptance, and elevate patient care.

FDA-cleared detections in Detect AI

You can use the FDA-cleared detections in Dentrix Ascend Detect AI, powered by Videa Health, to help you diagnose these conditions: 

  • Caries – Detect AI detects potential caries on all primary and permanent teeth in patients 3 years and older for anterior and posterior periapical X-rays in addition to bitewings.
  • Periapical radiolucency (PRL) – On X-ray images for patients 22 years and older, Detect AI provides PRL detections. This helps you quickly identify signs of potential infection and monitor the progress of apex concerns, cysts, and other conditions. 
  • Calculus – On X-ray images for patients 12 years and older, Detect AI provides interproximal calculus detections. With potential calculus indicated on X-rays, you can educate patients about the effects of calculus on their periodontal health and the importance of scaling and root planning. This combined with Radiographic Bone Level detections, paints a picture of disease prognosis for the patient.
  • Restoration Imperfections – On X-ray images for patients 3 years and older, Detect AI provides restoration imperfection detections. With the help of AI, providers can identify potential decay and open margins under restorations (such as crowns and fillings).
