In Ascend, the Clinical Decision Support (CDS) feature assists practitioners in the decision-making process—using best practices—when selecting treatment plans for their patients. When you use CDS, you select a patient’s condition, and a list of treatment suggestions automatically appears in the Quick Exam Treatment Plan column; thus, you can quickly and correctly select treatment plans for conditions discovered during patient exams.

- By default, CDS is always on but can be switched off, if you prefer not to use it.
