Every time an insured patient receives treatment, you should promptly create a dental insurance claim for the treatment. While most claims are sent electronically, Dentrix Ascend allows you to print claims, when needed. When a claim is printed, the following three events occur in Ascend: a PDF of the claim is created, the status of the claim is changed to “Printed,” and the claim can now be found in Sent Claims (from the Home menu).

- If you plan to submit an electronic claim, but still want a printed copy, first submit it electronically and then print the claim from Sent Claims.
