Insurance plans seem to change almost every time patients walk into the office. A common example is a patient losing his or her primary insurance and needing their secondary insurance coverage to be updated to take its place. Dentrix Ascend makes this easy to accommodate.

Additional Information
- If there is an existing claim on the primary insurance, you must first delete the claim before you can make changes to the coverage type.
- When you end insurance coverage, yesterday’s date automatically becomes the Coverage End date.
- If you select Remove to expire a plan and then select Remove again, the plan will be deleted.
- Coverage type dates cannot overlap. Any previous plan coverage must expire at least one day before new coverage starts.
