Typically, billing statements are used to invoice patients for services provided by your practice. They also function as records of financial transactions for your patients (or guarantors), particularly if patients are delinquent in paying their bills. As a general rule, you should generate billing statements monthly and possibly more often for accounts over 90 days past due.

Additional Information
- Billing statements can be generated any time. However, it’s usually best to generate monthly statements on the same day of each month.
- As billing statements are being processed, you can still use other areas of Dentrix Ascend.
- While you are viewing the Billing Statement Review page, no other user can access that page. If a user attempts to do so, an error message will display your username, to indicate that you are currently reviewing statements.
