The Dentrix Ascend Document Manager is an excellent tool you can use to reduce paper files by importing them electronically into Ascend, which you can then access from any office computer. For instance, you scan patient records, x-rays, driver’s licenses, insurance cards, etc. You can also use the manager to capture online insurance information or upload patient pictures and import them into Ascend. The options for the Document Manager are limitless.

- The Document Manager supports the following file types and their extensions: pdf, jpg (jpeg), png, gif, doc, docx, ppt, pptx, xls, xlsx, msg, and html.
- The maximum size of any single file cannot exceed 20MB.
- Do not include “special” characters ( /, :, *, ?, “, <, >, or | ) in the document filename.
