Chart Numbers Required
Released 9/10/25 Now, chart numbers are required for all patients. When you are creating or editing a patient record, the Chart # box is required. To quickly insert a chart number that contains the patient’s initials, click the generate button (circular arrows icon); otherwise, enter the desired chart number manually. Notes:
Emergency Contacts
Released 5/21/25 In Dentrix Ascend, you can now record a patient’s emergency contact information. Additional Referral Information
Released 4/2/25 Additional contact information now appears for a non-patient referral source (“Professional”, “Marketing”, or “Other”) that is attached to a patient’s record under Referred By on the Referrals tab of the Patient Information page.
