EARLY ACCESS ONLY
When a patient books an appointment online, he/she can now opt in to having that appointment be added to the ASAP list to indicate that he/she would like to be contacted if an earlier appointment slot becomes available.
Notes:
- This feature is available only with a Dentrix Ascend Pro or Accelerate package.
- This functionality must be enabled for each location individually in the Dentrix Ascend Online Scheduler. There is no bulk or organization-level setting.
- A patient who opts in to having his/her appointment added to the ASAP list does not receive a confirmation text or email message that his/her appointment is on the ASAP list.
- In Dentrix Ascend, you can manually review the ASAP list to contact patients about openings, or you can use a campaign to contact patients with appointments on the ASAP list about openings.
Enabling the Feature (Practice Does This per Location):
1. With the correct location selected in Dentrix Ascend, on the Settings menu, select Schedule Template.
The Schedule Template page opens.
2. Click Online Booking Setup.
The Online Booking Setup dialog box appears.
3. Click Go To Booking Platform.
4. Click the three vertical dots next to the location name, and then select Configuration.
5. Switch the Enable Patients to schedule appointments on ASAP List toggle On.
6. Click Save.
7. Repeat these steps for each location.
For each location with this feature turned on, the option to join to ASAP list will now appear on the confirmation screen after a patient books an appointment online.
Joining the ASAP List (Patient Does This)
When you are booking an appointment online, enter your personal information, and select the following checkboxes:
- Add me to the ASAP List for a sooner appointment if a time slot opens up. (New)
- By providing your phone number, you consent to receive text messages….
Note: In Dentrix Ascend, for an appointment that was booked online and put on the ASAP list, a Booked Online indicator appears (existing functionality), and the ASAP checkbox is selected automatically (new functionality).
