When you add an alias procedure code, Dentrix Ascend automatically adds it to every fee schedule in all locations of your organization. The fee for the newly created alias procedure code in the current location’s preferred fee schedule is populated with the default fee specified for the alias procedure code.
Previously, in each of the other fee schedules across all locations, the fee for the newly created alias procedure code was populated with $0.00.
To remove the burden of having to update fees and other fee schedule settings across all fee schedules when you create an alias procedure code, in each of the other fee schedules across all locations, the fee for a newly created alias procedure code is now populated with the fee from the original procedure code (the procedure code that the alias procedure code is based on) in that fee schedule. Also, the “No Write-off” flag (if set) and the “Paid in Full” flag (if set) are applied to the alias procedure code in every fee schedule.
