Previously, the “Manage Patient Forms” security right controlled whether a user could change the due date of a form in a patient’s record or not. Now, there is a new security right that controls this.
The new security right, “Edit forms due for a patient” (in the “Patient Information” category), allows a user to do any of the following on the Patient Forms tab of a patient’s Patient Information page:
- Change the due date of a form.
- Reset the due date of a form.
Notes:
- For existing Dentrix Ascend organizations, with the implementation of this new security right, any user role that has the “Update patient information” right is automatically granted the “Edit forms due for a patient” right.
- For new Dentrix Ascend organizations, from this point on, the Administrator, Receptionist, Provider, and Billing Coordinator user roles are granted the “Edit forms due for a patient” right by default.
Also, the “Manage Patient Forms” security right (in the “Settings” category) has been renamed to “Manage Location Forms” to more accurately reflect its purpose.
