Two-hour Appointment Start Reminder

For eligible practices, a new two-hour “Appointment Start Date and Time” reminder has been added to your appointment reminder campaign. The intent of this new reminder is to improve patient form completion before appointments.

Important:

  • For this new reminder to be added to your location’s appointment reminder campaign, the following criteria must be met:
    • Forms are enabled, and at least one form has been requested for a patient to complete within the past 30 days.
    • The appointment reminder campaign does not already use an hourly-based reminder.
    • Your organization is on the list of accounts that support forms but is not on the list of accounts to be excluded (such as certain DSOs).
  • Initially, this new reminder will apply only for appointments that you create from this point on. Later, the functionality will be expanded to include existing appointments.

This new reminder includes the following configuration (go to Settings > Patient Communications):

  • Appointment reminder is based on – 2 hours Before Appointment Start Date and Time.
  • Ability to confirm – On
  • Add Forms link – On.
  • Preferred Sending Method – If SMS registration has been completed and verified, Text; otherwise, Email.
