EARLY ACCESS ONLY
Previous releases has introduced improvements to the insurance icon on the patient ribbon. With this release, additional changes to the insurance icon have been introduced: a blue icon now has a red dot; a purple icon is now possible; and a “2” can appear on a green, blue, or purple icon.

The following table explains all the possible appearances of the insurance icon.
Gray shield icon – The patient does not have insurance coverage.
Green shield icon – The patient has primary insurance coverage only.
Green icon with a white 2 – The patient has primary and secondary insurance coverage.
Blue shield with red dot icon – The patient has primary insurance coverage only. A new patient form with insurance information is available. Review the patient form. Compare the insurance information on that document to the insurance information in the patient’s record. Make updates to the existing primary insurance plan accordingly and/or attach additional insurance plans if applicable. Then, dismiss the blue notification on the patient’s Insurance Information page (the blue banner at the top of the page).
| Blue icon with a white 2 – The patient has primary and secondary insurance coverage. A new patient form with insurance information has been completed. Review the patient form. - A blue notification can appear at the top of the list.
- A plan in the list can have a purple background.
