Help for Missing Payer Connections

For Eligibility Pro requests, Dentrix Ascend now helps you know which payers you are missing connections for. Also, adding a connection is now quicker.

Scenario 1

When you access the Insurance Eligibility page (go to Schedule > Insurance Eligibility), if any payer connections are missing for the insurance carriers on this page, the Missing Payer Connections dialog box appears.

Note: This message appears only if the location has an Eligibility Pro subscription, and if your user role has been granted the “Payer Connection Portal” security right.

Click Connect Payers to open the Payer Connection Portal page on a new browser tab. A message appears at the top of the page to remind you of which payers require connections.

Scenario 2

On the Insurance Eligibility page, when you click a Pro link, if the payer connection is missing, the Eligibility Pro Request Confirmation message appears (existing functionality). Click Connect Payer.

The Payer Connection Portal page not only opens on a new browser tab (existing functionality), but the New Payer Connection dialog box appears automatically and has the correct payer pre-selected.

Note: Accessing the payer connection portal and adding a connection require the “Payer Connection Portal” security right.

To finish adding the connection, enter the credentials to access the payer’s online portal, and then click Save.

Then, if the payer requires two-factor authentication, click the corresponding Two-Factor Auth Required link (in the Status column), enter the code that the insurance company sends to you by email or text message, and then click Verify.
